ISIS claims it beheaded second Japanese hostage Kenji Goto

Jan 31, – Islamic State has released a gruesome video claims the beheading of their second Japanese hostage. Kenji Goto, a freelance journalist, was captured by the terror group in October and was threatened with death unless an Iraqi female militant was handed over by Jordan.

However, tonight the terror group has posted a clip online showing Mr Goto being killed in typically brutal fashion.

The hostage is seen on his knees wearing an orange jumpsuit while a man in a balaclava stands over him with a knife. The footage is too graphic to be shown here.

Mr Goto was married and a father of two. The terrorist group had contacted his wife Rinko for the first time on December 2, saying her husband had been taken hostage.

Earlier this month Islamic State released a video demand for $200m for the lives of fellow hostage Haruna Yukawa and Mr Goto.
