Dec 11, – Human Rights Day 2013 was observed in Hyderabad by Human Rights Observers Global Peace Promoters, at Andhra Mahila Sabha Auditorium, Osmania University. The day was observed with the topic ‘Human Rights Observers’ role in the regional Human Rights system: achievements and outstanding commitments.

It is to remind us that no one will never again be denied their human rights.

Speaking on the occasion Tameem said, The United Nations adopted human rights in 1948 and many treaties were adopted in this regard today we celebrate the 1948 adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights with this line United Nations Started the Campaign.

Human Rights Day reminds us of our rights and responsibilities towards one another in a democratic society.

He said we should fight for our rights then only we can safeguard our rights, he said that in India justice system is very slow which led to loss of faith by common man in our judiciary system. Nevertheless we should respect our legal system as it is very strong notwithstanding the drawbacks. He highlighted status of women’s rights and said after Afghanistan and Congo, India is fourth most dangerous country as far as the women’s rights concern.

Amala Akkineni Founder Celebrity & of Blue cross, Speaking on the occasion said, that the human rights begins with the self, if we recognize this fact then we would not only respect ourselves and our rights but also respect others and their human rights. She said we all should come forward strive hard for a cause.

Anjana Sinha IPS IG (CID) spoke about women’s empowerment and said that her department deals with the violations and abuse of women’s and child rights. She advised the people particularly the women to approach the women police and women organizations to report atrocities and violence against them.

Ganesh Nallari Advocacy Director and Child rights activist, spoke about his life experiences and highlighted several issues which may lead to child abuses, he vows continue his struggle towards this direction.
