california school shootingA young student and their teacher and the shooter all died in the attack which took place at around 10.20am local time in San Bernadino, California.

Another young student, aged nine, is in a critical condition.

Two young students believed to have been shot at close range because they were standing close to their teacher, who was gunned down by a man who entered the school to kill his estranged wife.

Photos from the scene show children being led away hand in hand, while parents were informed of the shooting at North Park Elementary.

The man entered in the school with the intention to kill his wife is believed to have been allowed to sign into the school after telling reception he had something to drop off for his wife, while hiding the fact he carried a weapon.

Police said two adults died from gunshot wounds in a suspected ‘murder suicide’.

One young student, reunited with her mother that Monday’s ordeal left her ‘super scared.’

Anxious parents interviewed on camera said they had been given no information from the school other than where their children were being taken.

All children were bused to a nearby high school and university to make sure each was accounted for. Parents were asked to show ID before being reunited with their children.
