3-year-old brothers die in washing machine after mom leaves them home alone

In a shocking incident in outer Delhi, two three-year-old brothers were killed after falling in a washing machine on Saturday.

washing machineTwins playing in the house, in Avantika Apartments in Sector 1, while their mother had gone out to fetch groceries.

According to the senior police officer the mother of the boys had set up the top-loading machine for laundry, filled it with water and gone out to buy detergent and other household items.

Upon her return, approximately “six minutes later” she could not find the children in the house. She eventually saw them floating in the washing machine.

After hearing the incident the father, Ravinder, who immediately returned home also started searching for the children and found them inside the washing machine filled with 12 to 15 litres water.

They pulled out the two children and rushed to the hospital but the boys could not be saved. The police said that the two boys had seemingly died of drowning. The bodies have been sent for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death.

Father of twins immediately rushes the children to a nearby family hospital where doctors declared them dead.

Shocked father could not believe and took them (the children) to Jaipur Golden Hospital where too doctors declared them dead.

The police said the two boys apparently died of drowning since there was over 15 liters of water inside the machine.

The bodies of the boys have been sent for an autopsy.
