Dad kills 5 year-old son, physically punished for wetting his bed
Father kills his 5-year-old son, who has not been named, was found in the street in his underwear after suffering a cardiac arrest in Aire-sur-la-Lys in northern France.
French Police believe the boy was punished by his parents for wetting the bed before his death and have since arrested them.
Government detectives investigated the whole matter they also found other evidence that he was physically abused before he died.
The toddlers father, 30, and mother, 20, reportedly called an ambulance after finding the boy unconscious around 200 yards from their home. Police were subsequently alerted.
Spokesperson for the French police confirmed ‘The investigation must determine whether the child died of cold, if this is the result of a fall, or a case of abuse”.
The prosecutor of the Republic of Saint-Omer, Patrick Leleu, said: “A child of five years died in suspicious conditions as to the explanations that have been given, with a medical reason not established at this time.
“The suspicious conditions of this death led us to put the parents in custody on suspicion of violence causing death.”
Later The boy’s parents have been sent to temporary prison and police say they believe the boy was physically punished for wetting his bed before his death.
