hromedia Thanks to Obama, Woman gives birth in car while trapped in presidential traffic jam intl. news2The ever-popular “Thanks, Obama” gag may be an exaggeration of many Americans’ sarcastic daily struggles, but for one woman, it’s no understatement.

While stuck in traffic on a highway in Kentucky – caused by President Barack Obama’s motorcade – Jessica Brown was forced to give birth in her car.

Her husband had called 911 about 5:15 p.m. on Thursday to report that his wife was in labor and that traffic was not moving, Louisville MetroSafe spokeswoman Jody Duncan was quoted as saying.

On the other … yeah I mean, delivering a baby in a car on the shoulder of Interstate 65 because of a motorcade-related traffic situation in the Louisville area is probably a sub-optimal experience.

Louisville MetroSafe spokeswoman Jody Duncan said in an email to The Post that 911 operators received a call about the delivery early Thursday evening. The caller was told to pull over to the side of the road, and a nurse, who was also stuck in traffic, helped out. Mother and baby were eventually taken to a hospital.

Here’s what happened next, When an ambulance arrived at the scene EMS drivers were able to transport the mother and her newborn to University of Louisville Hospital.

Louisville Metro EMS worker Courtney Maloney said, “We pretty much had to ride the emergency lane all the way down.”

Maloney said the mom took it all in stride.

“She did say it’s a story she will never forget,” Maloney said.

If the White House wanted to make up for this, it’s not super hard to find “Future President” shirts in this town. Just saying.
